Yard Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics

Position Summary

Full‑time CDL Class A Yard Truck Driver at Penske Logistics. Drivers are paid $30 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours and receive a $10,000 retention bonus. Weekends are off and drivers are home daily. Equipment includes late‑model Penske trucks with best‑in‑class specifications and in‑cab cameras.

• Move trailers in and out of the dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers while they are staged for loading, unloading and pulling from doors.

• 5‑day work week:
  Monday through Friday.
• Dispatch time 5:00 AM.
• Weekends off.

• Valid Class A CDL, domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• Valid DOT medical card (non‑exempt). Willingness to obtain if necessary.
• At least 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• Three years of clean DMV/MVR record with no more than two moving violations or accidents.
• Full attendance essential.
• English language proficiency (required by federal law).
• Compliance with background investigation and drug screening.
• Ability to work a 5‑day schedule at the specified location.

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for handling gear.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and enter/exit vehicle and cargo area.
