Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and unload food and related products;
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers and verify deliveries and signatures;
Perform pre/post trip safety inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards; report safety hazards and necessary repairs;
Complete required freight paperwork and maintain accurate logs and hours of service per Department of Transportation and company policy;
Unload, secure, and store freight; ensure loads are properly secured and perform post-delivery housekeeping as required
