Driver Position

Ebenezer is looking for a driver to join our team in Bloomington, MN. This position is responsible for driving the bus/van for purposes of providing and addressing transportation needs of the SNF/AL Community, individual, and group transportation.

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! This position includes:

• 80 hours per two weeks
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Productivity and Initiative
• Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner.
• Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period.
• Organizes work assignments.
• Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers.
• Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle.
• Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.
• Dependability
• Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties.
• Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations.
• Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.
• Safety and Health
• Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers.
• Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services.
• Knows and practices infection control procedures.
• Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures.
• Knows and practices safety procedures.
• Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents.
• Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
• Participant/Resident Care
• Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights.
• Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year
• Drivers License (in good standing)
• Medical Exam Certification
• Must be at least 18-years old
• Must be insurable under the employers Auto Insurance Coverage
• Must complete and pass in-house transportation curriculum course and pass driving evaluation within 30 Days

• 1 year

This position offers a flat rate within the specified compensation range. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Furthermore, our organization values pay equity and includes considerations of internal team equity when extending any offers.
