Wholesale Produce Supply is seeking a strategic Director of Transportation to lead all aspects of our transportation operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, fleet maintenance, transportation strategy, and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and developing teams.

• Annual salary: $150,000–$165,000, based on experience
• Annual bonus potential: Up to 15%

• Develop and execute transportation strategies that improve service, efficiency, and profitability
• Lead inbound and outbound transportation operations, drivers, dispatch, and fleet maintenance
• Oversee transportation budgets, freight spend, fuel usage, and operational costs
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and transportation partners
• Ensure DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance
• Analyze KPIs and transportation data to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and leadership to support company objectives
• Evaluate new technology and systems to improve transportation performance

8+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management

Proven success leading large-scale inbound and outbound transportation operations

Strong experience managing transportation budgets and controlling costs

Expertise with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation analytics

Outstanding leadership, communication, and team development skills

Strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
