Overnight Transportation Coordinator

Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year

Shift: Swing (overnight)

This role is part of the Dedicated Trucking division. The Overnight Transportation Coordinator supports the division by managing customer needs, driver assignments, and freight movement during the overnight shift, ensuring quality customer service, maximizing equipment utilization, and maintaining driver productivity.

• Respond to customer and driver inquiries during overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Coordinate with planners and CSRs regarding ETAs and hours of service.
• Keep customers and brokers updated with accurate ETAs.
• Enter orders and driver assignments into the system accurately.
• Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions as needed.
• Track and report load status to ensure timely customer updates.
• Solve issues quickly to prevent service disruptions.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment issues, updates, or changes.
• Review and correct driver assignments and customer orders for accuracy.
• Prepare operational reports to support daytime transportation staff.

• Represent the Koch Companies, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with the Koch community, customers, and the public.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including cross‑training and participating in projects.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the trucking or transportation industry.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of full‑scope transportation industry experience, including driver management, compliance, and freight operations.

• Knowledge of driver management, hours of service, DOT compliance, freight lanes, and capacity management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to deescalate intense situations professionally.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust to shifting demands.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based software and transportation management systems.
• Self‑motivated with excellent time‑management abilities.
• Commitment to high‑level internal and external customer service.

• Ability to sit for up to 90% of the workday using a computer, phone, keyboard, and mouse.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the remaining time.
