Supervisor Of Transit Rider Investment Program (Trip) Operations
We are the Metropolitan Council, the regional government for the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. We plan 30 years ahead for the future of the metropolitan area and provide regional transportation, wastewater, and housing services. We are committed to supporting a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Metro Transit is one of the country's largest transit systems, employs more than 3,000 people, and provides more than 80 million rides a year through an integrated network of buses, light rail and commuter trains, as well as resources for those who carpool, vanpool, walk or bike in the Twin Cities.
How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Supervisor of Transit Rider Investment Program (TRIP) Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift. The shift supervisors directly plan, coordinate, and manage the daily activities and operational expectations of TRIP agents, focusing on the appropriate level of engagement, education, and resource opportunities for customers. The positions require comprehensive knowledge of Metro Transit policies, procedures, and relevant information to provide accurate guidance to TRIP agents.
These roles ensure that the TRIP Department's policies and procedures comply with TRIP program requirements as defined in Minnesota State Statute. TRIP Supervisors report to the TRIP Manager or their designee and must also adhere to the instructions of other Metro Transit officials. The shift options will include both 8-hour and 10-hour schedules either in the morning or evening. Hours may include some weekends and holidays.
Additionally, this role may have to travel and work between our office locations in Minneapolis, MN and Saint Paul, MN.
