School Bus Dispatcher

School Bus Dispatcher Position: AM / PM Dispatcher We are currently looking for AM and PM dispatchers for our school bus operations.

Position Summary:

The role of Dispatcher is responsible for planning, coordinating, and dispatching bus routes to ensure efficient and timely service. This includes developing route schedules, monitoring real-time operations, and communicating with drivers to resolve issues. The Dispatcher collaborates with operations, maintenance, and customer service teams to meet service commitments and optimize routing efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Plan and develop daily and weekly bus routes

Dispatch buses and communicate route assignments to drivers

Monitor route performance and adjust as necessary

Respond to driver and operational issues in real time Maintain route and dispatch records

Coordinate with maintenance to ensure vehicle availability

Communicate with schools, organizations, and customers regarding service changes

Education,

Experience and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of dispatching or routing experience preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Effective communication skills

Proficiency with routing and dispatch software

Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in fast-paced situations

Pay dependent on experience.
