Warehouse Worker - Dock Associate - Mid Shift

Overview

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse dock associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

• 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

• Base $23.20 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential = $24.20 per hour

• Physically demanding job, on your feet for the duration of your shift
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Load and unload trailers safely
• Bend, lift, and walk as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sort and place parts in designated areas
• Stack cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
• Scan freights and parts

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work independently with strong customer service, multitasking, organizational, flexible, and time‑management skills
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions
• Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• Position is safety sensitive; ability to maintain constant alertness and operate safely is required

Required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. Must use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Must see and verbally communicate, and understand instructions.
