Warehouse Associate - Driver

Purpose:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for driving a forklift, driving the apg dock truck, receiving, storing, stocking, and distributing a wide variety of materials and supplies and ensuring the enforcement of warehouse procedures and practices. Takes personal responsibility to ensure the end results meet or exceed defined specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving a forklift and dock truck

Unload incoming shipments as needed

Utilize measuring instruments during incoming inspections

Put away parts following inspection

Complete part inspections and process receivers

Assist Material Handlers in the warehouse

Provide support to Production as needed

Complete tasks and duties as assigned by the team leader, supervisor, or warehouse manager

Maintain a clean and safe workstation, take action to correct safety issues or report safety concerns to the teamleader or assembly supervisor for action

Comply with APG’s Quality System

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience driving forklifts and/or forklift certification a plus Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is critical (hand/eye coordination and dexterity)
Communication proficiency, able to speak, read and understand English language

Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using written, verbal and visual work instructions

Ability to lift 30 lbs. consistently

Motivated, team player that can also work independently

Requirements:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent minimum1 year working experience in warehouse, inspection, manufacturing, production, or similar area

Must have a clean driving record
