Job Responsibilities:

*
* + Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating Advent Health's commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.

+ Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel.

+ Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs.

+ Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to Advent Health policies.

+ Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety.

+ Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.

+ Other duties as assigned.

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
