Overview

Accounts Receivable Clerk (Administrative)

The Opportunity As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Lake Leaf Cultivation. This position offers the opportunity to oversee daily receivables activities, ensuring timely, accurate billing and payment processing across multiple business units within the cannabis industry. You will maintain precise financial records, uphold compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and collaborate closely with managers and team members to support the organizations overall financial health.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated by keeping financial data clean, accurate, and moving efficiently.

What You Get to Do
  • Prepare and process billing information, code and enter invoices for receivables
  • Ensure accurate, timely recording of general journal entries. Prepare and process data for entry in general ledger.
  • Ensure the accuracy of bank account transfers, wire transfers, and bank service charges.
  • Prepare, deposit and record checks.
  • Prepare and submit, on a timely basis, the sales and use tax filings.
  • Audit and reconcile Daily Sales Reports.
  • Prepare weekly, month end and year-end Sales Reports.
  • Update, organize, and securely maintain accounting files.
  • Work closely with all business managers on preparing and analyzing of month end data.
  • Reconcile month end inventory data of the small businesses.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain standard monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid expenses and recurring entries.
  • Mantains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company mission, vision and values.
  • Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
  • Develops annual departmental budget(s) and held accountable, to the highest degree, for the control, accuracy and thoroughness of all expenses, records and reports.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar finance support role.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and process billing, receivables, deposits, and journal entries
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting or ERP systems preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills sets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with department managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Must be able to secure a cannabis license from the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM)
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
In Office Work Environment
  • While in office, the associate is regularly exposed to:
  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
  • Cannabis odor.
