Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Blaine, Minnesota. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This position is vital to supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure timely completion of payment runs, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Review and code invoices for proper account allocation and approval.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices or payments.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of accounts payable transactions.
- Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and confirm account details.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies.
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities within the accounts payable function. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing and payment procedures.
- Proficiency in coding invoices and conducting payment runs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to resolve payment discrepancies effectively and professionally.
- Familiarity with accounting policies and internal controls.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
