Accountant Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Accountant/Controller to oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in various accounting disciplines. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and strategic planning of our organization, with a focus on accurate financial reporting, cash management, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic environment.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and accounts receivable/payable processing.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support organizational decision‑making.
• Oversee cash management activities including cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain accurate records using accounting software.
• Perform payroll processing and related tax filings in accordance with applicable laws.
• Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights for financial planning.
• Support internal controls development and assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead or participate in special projects related to technical accounting issues or process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation, accounts payable & receivable, and general ledger management.
• Experience with various accounting software platforms.
• Demonstrated ability in financial report writing, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Excellent understanding of cash management practices and technical accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills combined with high attention to detail and accuracy.
