You are accountable for owning balance sheet integrity, global accounting processes, and the financial close, while developing and guiding a distributed accounting team.

This role is a compelling opportunity because it provides enterprise-wide scope, leadership ownership, and direct impact on financial accuracy, controls, and major transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee global general ledger accounting operations, ensuring accounting transactions are recorded accurately and consistently across the enterprise.
  • Manage timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes in alignment with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley, COSO, and statutory or local regulations.
  • Own balance sheet governance, including reconciliation, review, and monitoring of balance sheet metrics and issues across the organization.
  • Oversee global accounting processes for key areas such as capital and inventory.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the general ledger team within the Financial Shared Services Center, ensuring consistent accounting practices and effective workload management.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross‑functional teams to support accounting treatment for business changes, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive education, awareness, and adherence to global accounting policies across the organization.
  • Manage internal and external audit activities by preparing required documentation and serving as the primary accounting contact for auditors.
  • Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems, tools, and processes, including participation in ERP implementation initiatives.
Desired Competencies
  • Leadership:
You inspire, guide, and empower others to achieve their best by setting clear direction, fostering trust, and creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and accountable for delivering results.
  • Business Acumen:
You understand how your work impacts financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational goals, and you make decisions with the broader business context in mind.
  • Collaboration:

You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in public accounting and manufacturing industry environments.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, COSO framework, and internal control implementation, including anti‑fraud controls.
  • Experience leading accounting teams and managing shared services or centralized accounting functions.
  • Proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Some travel is required.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
