Staff Accountant

• Process payroll and prepare payroll tax returns accurately and on time.
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and other financial reports.
• Support tax preparation and tax compliance activities.
• Communicate with clients to collect financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and deliver exceptional client service.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Expert-level experience processing payroll and payroll tax returns.
• Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Must be able to work on-site in Spring Lake Park, MN.

• Experience working in a CPA or public accounting firm.
• Experience preparing tax returns and supporting tax compliance.
• Interest in or eligibility to pursue CPA licensure.
