Staff Accountant

Location: Saint Paul

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization in Eagan, Minnesota.

The Staff Accountant will support core accounting and tax functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and corporate tax-related activities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative and fast-paced finance environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support month-end close activities.
• Assist with corporate tax reporting and contribute to the preparation of corporate tax return documentation.
• Support sales tax processes, including reviewing transactions and helping ensure filings are completed correctly.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation to support audits, compliance, and internal review needs.
