Appointment Scheduler (Healthcare) - Minnesota Urology
Minnesota Urology is hiring an Appointment Scheduler to support patient access and scheduling operations across our clinics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, managing details, and contributing to efficient clinical workflows in a healthcare setting.
As the first point of contact for many patients, the Appointment Scheduler plays an important role in creating a positive experience while ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently.
In this position, you will answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments. You'll gather relevant patient information, identify appropriate appointment types, and coordinate scheduling based on provider availability. Throughout the day, you will update patient records, document interactions, and use electronic health record systems to manage appointments and send reminders.
You will regularly communicate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, respond to patient questions, and support daily clinic operations. Providing courteous, patient-focused service and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment are key aspects of the role.
Successful candidates are strong communicators who can interact with patients professionally and empathetically. The role requires solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks fort using scheduling software or electronic health record systems is important, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A customer-service mindset and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
Minnesota Urology offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); health savings and flexible spending accounts; paid time off; company-paid short- and long-term disability; company-paid life insurance; and additional workplace perks.
