Deputy Clerk - Lake Saint Croix

Provide administrative support to the City Clerk/Administrator and City Council to facilitate a smooth-running office environment including drafting meeting minutes, preparation of meeting agendas, and performing tasks requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service.

This position requires hands-on involvement in multiple areas of City business, duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Attends City Council meetings on the third Monday of the month and commission meetings as directed.
• Provides office and administrative support to the City Clerk/Administrator and other staff.
• Prepares and coordinates publication and distribution of City monthly newsletter.
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of the City policies and procedures.
• Maintains effective communication with the City Clerk/Administrator and City Council;
• Grant writing.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
