The opportunityWe are hiring a part-time Junior Electronics Technician to support asset intake, testing, and inventory organization. This is a hands-on role well suited to high school or college students interested in computers, gaming PCs, electronics repair, or IT careers. No prior ITAD experience required — we train on our procedures.

- Able to lift and move computers, monitors, and related equipment (typically up to 50 lbs with team assistance)
- At least 16 years of age (see work-permit requirements below if under 18)
- Reliable transportation to Silver Bay for scheduled shifts
- Receive and log incoming equipment with serial numbers and asset tags
- Run basic diagnostics and document device condition
- Assist with NIST-aligned data wiping under supervision
- Package, label, and organize inventory for refurbishment or recycling paths
- Maintain a clean, organized intake and staging area
Hourly, non-exempt part-time employment. Starting rate depends on experience, technical aptitude, and schedule reliability. This range exceeds the applicable Minnesota minimum wage at time of hire.
