EHS Lead – Main Contractor – Data Centre Project (Finland)
GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Lead on behalf of a leading Main Contractor for a permanent position based in Finland.
About the client:

Our client is a well-established Main Contractor specialising in the delivery of large-scale mission-critical construction projects across Scandinavia, Europe, and the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering complex Data Centre projects to the highest standards of quality, innovation and safety and are committed to maintaining industry-leading Health, Safety and Environmental performance across all projects.

Based in Finland.
Opportunity to work on major Data Centre projects across

Finland and Scandinavia.
Join a leading Main Contractor delivering mission-critical projects.
Salary of €90,000 – €100,000 + Living Abroad Package.
Permanent position with excellent long-term career progression. Main duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all site activities.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Review and approve RAMS and other Health & Safety documentation.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and Health & Safety training.
  • Attend project, coordination, and Health & Safety meetings.
  • Prepare Health & Safety reports and performance statistics for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and sustainability objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of Health & Safety performance.
Essential qualifications and experience:
  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g.,NEBOSHor equivalent.
  • 7+ years'experience within Health & Safety in the construction sector.
  • Previous experience inData Centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Experience leading Health & Safety on large construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
