BCI Construction, Inc. is seeking an additional experienced Superintendent to join our growing team and work in the Central Minnesota area. Headquartered out of Sauk Rapids, MN. BCI specializes in Commercial, Medical, and Institutional Construction.

Wage:
- $70k annually and up, depending on experience
- Eligible for annual bonus incentive plan
This role is responsible for monitoring projects through all phases of construction from planning to completion. This role will collaborate with all members of the project team; including clients, vendors, and subcontractors to accurately define the project's needs. The end goal is to ensure projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget. Working hours range, depending on the project, but typically start at 6:00am or 7:00am.
A typical work week is Monday through Friday but may vary depending on current projects.
Primary Duties
- Oversee site safety first and foremost. Enforce the Safety Program for the project and ensure all personnel on site comply with the Safety Program.
- Responsible for primary site leadership and supervision on large scale projects (ground-up, additions, and intensive remodels).
- Collaborate with BCI Project Team to determine budget and timeline. Implementing and managing the schedule as designed.
- Direct, oversee, and synchronize subcontractors, BCI self-performing trades, vendors, etc. to support project schedule delivery and scope of work commitments.
- Create acceptable action plans considering all parties if deviations occur
- Submit weekly project man-power requests to BCI Field Operations Manager (FOM)
- Create and distribute weekly a four (4) week schedule "look-ahead," amongst other processes, to assure sub-contractors are engaged in project execution and delivery.
- Understand plans, specifications, and subcontractor agreements. Ensure specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
- As site leader ensure all parties on-site are working from the most up to date documentation including drawings, logs, inspection books.
- Coordinate and communicate the work activities of subcontractors, professionals, and laborers, communicating consistently to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
- Supervise the progress, performance, and quality of all subcontractors' work. Their work is a direct reflection on the quality of craftsmanship and reputation of BCI.
- Perform and oversee project specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) practices to ensure projects are delivered project specifications and of quality craftsmanship.
- Ensure alignment of budget set for the project including labor, materials, and equipment. Work with Project Management team to address issues as they arise.
- Monitor daily needs to ensure that all materials are delivered when required. Verify the accuracy of packing lists and transfer all paperwork to the Admin Department and Project Managers.
- Verify all materials reflect approved submittals along with ensuring design drawings and shop drawings coincide prior to installation.
- Record and send completed Daily Progress Reports and photos to project specific recipients each day utilizing the proper software (Procore).
- Review and analyze cost reports and labor hours information regularly with Project Managers for accuracy and budget forecasting.
- Responsible for project completion on time, with minimal punch list.
- Coordinate with clients and key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with respect to work completed. Handle complaints to the client's satisfaction, while not jeopardizing project profitability.
- Attend Project Kick-Off and Close-Out meetings to assure all the project information is disseminated and returned properly such as project contacts, contracts, cost coding, project documentation, logistics, plans, hourly studies, Sub-contractor performance, etc.
- Attend company production and safety meetings, typically once a month.
