Job Description

Horizon Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Estimator for its Commercial Roofing Department. The role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to produce accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.

A leading commercial roofing contractor in Minnesota offering roofing, sheet metal, shingles, and siding services for buildings ranging from single-story to high-rise across the Midwest.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Depth of knowledge in construction, preferably with a degree in Architectural Drafting, Estimating, Construction Management, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience estimating and selling shingles and siding projects.
• Valid driver’s license; required to pass physical, drug screening and background check.

• Confirm scope of work and bid proposals for completeness and accuracy.
• Submit timely questions for clarification during the construction bid process.
• Prepare shingle and siding project estimates by gathering proposals, onsite inspections, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Attend construction pre-bid, pre-con, and post-con meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Contribute to team efforts and serve customers efficiently.

• Competitive pay: base salary $100,000+ depending on experience.
• Hourly range $20–$50+.
