Reporter - Aitkin Independent Age

This position will report on a wide variety of stories and newsworthy events in the community. The ideal candidate will be versatile, self-motivated and exhibit a passion for high-quality journalism.

Pay $13-$16 hourly. 15 hours weekly.

Regularly communicates with people outside the organization, representing Aitkin Independent Age to customers, the public, government and other external sources. This position requires a high level of integrity and tact.

Education & Experience ™@ Experience as a reporter; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Knowledge of Associated Press style. Actively listens, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate. Ability to work independently as well as a collaborative team member. Ability to organize, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Strong understanding of multimedia technology. Must meet Adams Multi Media driver qualifications.
