Bank Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Location: River Valley
GENERAL FUNCTION
Provide excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution in accordance with Fifth Third Bank policies. Refer customers to the appropriate business partner for products and services discovered during business interactions and/or conversations. Accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Always do the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Experience Function- Promote good customer experience by consistently providing best‑in‑class satisfaction and applying key‑behavior standards.
- Build rapport with the customer base and maintain knowledge of account ownership.
- Answer customer questions, find solutions to issues, and respond promptly to correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer business information.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies.
- Perform daily office responsibilities and maintain efficient operation with the platform team.
- Maintain balancing records, identify and correct outages, and seek help when needed.
- Keep up to date on bank policies and center procedures.
- Handle consumer and business customer problems professionally, escalating complex issues to leadership.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in decision‑making within guidelines.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales referrals set by management.
- Actively participate in daily huddles, sales meetings, and staff meetings.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the full line of retail products and seek further development as needed.
- Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer customers to business partners.
- Use tools for referrals and review dashboards for referral progress and fulfillment.
- Continuously increase knowledge through self‑motivation, formal education, and training.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED.
- Advanced math skills required for cash handling.
- Professional appearance and customer‑service presentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
- Initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, and problem‑resolution skills.
- Team‑orientated with positive interaction with co‑workers and management.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
Normal office environment with extended computer screen usage. Positions located in Lancaster, OH (River Valley) – Full Time.
