• Compensation: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

What you’ll do as a Customer Service Representative:

• Answer the phone in a professional and courteous manner
• Get mail from the post office, open it, stamp it and pull corresponding endorsement requests from suspense file
• Check customer declarations pages and other miscellaneous documents for accuracy on the agency management system
• Provide personal lines quotes to prospective and current customers
• Answer questions of customers and process policy change requests
• Communicate with companies for the purpose of handling customer needs
• File documents in the appropriate files
• Collect money from customers and document receipt of it on the computer if forwarding payment to the insurance company
• File claim reports on behalf of customers and place them in the suspense file
• Maintain the file for cancellation notices received from companies and monitor it on a weekly basis

What you need to become a Customer Service Representative:

• Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
• Good typing skills
• Good mathematic skills
• Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, printer, computer)
