Join Our Team as a Surgery Cardiovascular Physician

Are you a highly skilled cardiovascular surgeon seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference? We are looking for a dedicated Surgery Cardiovascular Physician to provide expert care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This role offers the chance to work on a variety of routine and complex cardiac and vascular procedures, contributing to life-saving surgeries and innovative treatments. Your expertise will be essential in delivering exceptional patient outcomes and advancing our department’s excellence.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical procedures

Certification and licensure in MN or IMLC-compliant jurisdiction

Ability to perform CABGs, valve repairs, aortic aneurysm/dissection repairs, TAVR, lead extractions, and related surgeries

Strong knowledge of minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery techniques

Excellent surgical skills with attention to detail

Ability to work effectively within a team and handle high-pressure situations

Flexibility to adapt to varying case types and schedules

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with complex congenital heart surgeries

Familiarity with heart failure surgeries, LVAD procedures, and thoracoscopic techniques

Prior experience in high-volume trauma settings

Multilingual communication abilities

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Proven minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery

Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Experience working in trauma or emergency settings is a plus

Other Requirements:

Valid Minnesota medical license or IMLC certification

Ability to start ideally on January 1, 2026 (flexible pending committee meetings)

Availability for a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 1-in-3 call rotation including day, overnight, and weekend shifts

Compliance with all licensing, certification, travel, and reimbursement policies

Successful submission of a complete professional file and a clean record

Hourly Pay Rate: $322.34
