Emergency Medicine Physician - Construction Site

Prairie Band Construction seeks an Emergency Room Physician to provide on-site emergency medical care for workers supporting tribal, federal, and commercial construction projects. In this field-based role, you will rapidly assess and stabilize trauma and acute medical conditions, coordinate with EMS and local hospitals, and support a culture of safety and respect. You'll help shape medical readiness, participate in drills and incident reviews, and contribute to meaningful, Native-owned projects that prioritize integrity, quality, and community impact.

• Provide rapid assessment and stabilization of construction-related injuries and acute medical conditions on or near job sites
• Perform advanced life support procedures, including airway management, resuscitation, and trauma care
• Coordinate with EMS, local hospitals, and site safety teams for safe transport and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and incident reports
• Advise on site medical readiness, emergency protocols, and worker health and safety practices
• Participate in safety briefings, drills, and incident reviews to improve emergency response
• Collaborate with project and safety leadership to reduce medical risks on projects
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, tribal, and occupational health regulations

• Emergency medicine

• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Airway management and intubation
• Point-of-care diagnostics
• Emergency procedures (suturing, reductions, splinting)
• Occupational and construction-site medicine
• Medical documentation and reporting
• Incident command and EMS coordination
• Regulatory and safety compliance

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or equivalent)
• Unrestricted Medical License in Kansas or ability to obtain
• ACLS certification
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in occupational or site-based emergency care preferred
