Location: Watertown

Caring Hands Childcare serves children ages 6 weeks to 48 months, providing a nurturing and developmentally appropriate early learning environment. The Lead Teacher is responsible for designing and implementing engaging educational activities that support the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of infants, toddlers, and young preschoolers.

In addition to fostering development, the Lead Teacher oversees daily classroom operations and ensures a structured, safe, and caring atmosphere for all children. This role is ideal for an educator dedicated to high-quality early childhood education and confident in leading a classroom with creativity, organization, and compassion.

Your Role Will Include:
  • Plan and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that supports developmental milestones and encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Lead and supervise Assistant Teachers and Aides to ensure effective teamwork and classroom management.
  • Monitor and document each child’s development; prepare reports and conduct parent conferences.
  • Communicate consistently and professionally with families to support strong home-school partnerships while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment; ensure proper use of materials and equipment.
  • Implement daily routines including circle time, meals, rest periods, and outdoor play.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, center policies, and safety standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required.
  • Previous Lead Teacher or significant early childhood experience required.
  • Knowledge of child development, early learning standards, and classroom management techniques.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Salary and Benefits :
  • Starting at $20.30/hour
Location & Shift Times:
  • Location, Watertown-Mayer Community Learning Center.
  • FT, within the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM.
