Elementary Education Teacher

Park Rapids Area Century School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Education Teacher for Kindergarten to join our team at Century Lower Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students in Kindergarten, encouraging their academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher will implement a dynamic curriculum that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration while adhering to state educational standards.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and address individual needs.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies.
• Organize and participate in school events, including parent-teacher conferences and community outreach activities.
• Support students' social and emotional well-being by promoting a positive classroom culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education in Minnesota.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.
• Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
