The Chisago Lakes School District is located approximately 35 miles NE of downtown Minneapolis/Saint Paul. The District unites five historical communities with a tradition of excellence. Each community offers both a unique history and a contemporary charm of its own. The 165 square-mile district encompasses 24 lakes and the scenic St. Croix River Valley which creates many outdoor recreational opportunities for any outdoor enthusiast.
The District serves approximately 3400 students (Pre K - 12) and their families. Our Primary School, located in Chisago City, serves our Pre K to grade 1 students. Taylors Falls Elementary School, located in Taylors Falls, serves grades PreK - 5 and our Lakeside Elementary School, located in Chisago City, serves grades 2 - 5. Chisago Lakes Middle School and High Schools are both located in Lindstrom.
The Chisago Lakes School District is the authorizer for Wolf Creek Charter School and collaborates with the St. Croix River Education District to house the Chisago Lakes Education Center which consists of the Pathway to Change and SOAR (Skill-building Opportunities for Academic Resiliency) programs. The support for education in our communities is strong as evidenced by support for nearly $65 million in construction from .

A new Lakeside Elementary School and new Wildcat Community Center highlighted new construction and renovations throughout the district. We have a proud tradition of excellence in academics, fine arts, community education, and extracurricular activities.

Swim Lesson Instructor

ISD 2144 - Chisago Lakes Community Education is currently looking to hire Swim Lesson Instructors. The Swim Instructor position is responsible for teaching an in-house swim lesson program for youth ages ranging from 3 to 13 years old. This is a yearlong position with varied hours, including evenings and weekends. Starting hourly wage: $16.50

QUALIFICATIONS:

Nationally recognized current First Aid and CPR/AED certification

Mature and professional attitude.
Minimum of 15 years of age

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Nationally recognized up-to-date Lifeguard certification
Nationally recognized current First Aid and CPR/AED certification
Experience teaching children in a small group setting

Job Duties:

Maintain a safe environment for all participants
Successful completion of a job orientation
Successful completion of facility swim pool test
Instruct an in-house swim lesson program for preschool ages and youth
Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to demonstrate swim level skills
Follow established emergency procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
