Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and student-centered Business Teacher to lead and grow our 7 12 Business program and Business Management and Administration Career Field. The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering students with essential business and career skills in areas such as personal finance, accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, and business management. This position includes teaching a variety of high-interest, practical business courses and providing authentic learning experiences that prepare students for adult life and potential careers in business, finance, marketing, and related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with standards for Business.
- Provide hands-on, project-based instruction that develops career readiness, practical life skills, and cross-curricular competencies.
- Support students in exploring career pathways in fields such as early childhood education, nutrition, fashion, and human services.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Business with other subject areas and school initiatives.
- Foster partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance learning opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment (kitchen, sewing, and/or design spaces).
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay up-to-date with trends in Business education.
- Participate actively in school-wide programs and support the district's strategic plan for student achievement and future readiness.

- Required:
Minnesota teaching license in Business (or ability to obtain licensure). - Preferred:
Experience teaching Business courses, working in culinary arts or early childhood settings, or leading career exploration activities. - Preferred:
Ability to teach College in Schools or willingness to obtain - Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
