Dassel-Cokato Schools is looking for staff advisors for student activity programs.
Duties
- Advise and support student members in developing leadership skills, responsibility, teamwork, and personal growth through participation in co-curricular activities
- Plan, organize, and supervise meetings, events, competitions, service projects, and other program-related activities for assigned organizations
- Guide students in meeting organization requirements, maintaining eligibility standards, and completing required service or competitive components
- Promote positive character development, academic achievement, and school engagement among student participants
- Foster a culture of integrity, responsibility, and adherence to all applicable school and organization guidelines
- Maintain regular attendance at meetings, events, competitions, and school-sponsored activities related to the organization
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Activities Director and/or building administration
- Knowledge of student activity programs and/or willingness to learn the expectations of assigned organizations
- Understanding of applicable state, school, and organization rules and guidelines (e.g., MSHSL where applicable)
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and supervise student groups and related activities
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and community members
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including planning events and managing deadlines
- Commitment to supporting student leadership development and co-curricular engagement
- Willingness to learn and implement new program requirements, competitive events, and leadership development strategies
- Ability to organize and support a comprehensive student activity program
- Previous experience working with student organizations preferred but not required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and administration to support program goals
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and engaging student involvement opportunities
