Position: Six Week Float- Reserve Teacher
Location: Wayzata

Job Overview

Minnetonka Public Schools is accepting applications for a Six‑Week Reserve Teacher for the  school year. The Building Float Teacher is a highly flexible and adaptable educator who will provide instruction and support to students in various classrooms throughout the school building. The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of subjects and grade levels, and will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student success.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels.
  • Deliver instruction to students in accordance with established lesson plans and curriculum guidelines.
  • Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students and teachers.
Requirements
  • Valid Minnesota Teaching License or Short‑Call License. If you do not hold a Minnesota Teacher License but have a Bachelor’s degree, you may apply for a Short‑Call Substitute teacher license through the Minnesota Professional Educators Licensing and Standards Board: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using classroom technology to support instruction.
Compensation

Daily rate: $283.79 per day. Not medical or dental benefit eligible.

Licensing Note

Applicants who do not hold a Minnesota Teacher License but have a Bachelor’s degree may apply for a Short‑Call Substitute teacher license through the Minnesota Professional Educators Licensing and Standards Board: .
