Description: 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher - Elementary
Job Summary- Work collaboratively with special services team members to support the academic, character, social and emotional growth of learners.
- Collaborate with IEP team members to design, coordinate, and deliver a rigorous and appropriate education for students with disabilities.
- Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
- Maintain due process paperwork according to District, State, and Federal guidelines.
- Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
- Establish and maintain high standards for the educational experience of students.
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required. (ABS preferred)
- High level of due process expertise required.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meaningful discourse in IEP meetings.
- Experience working directly with students in classroom setting preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.
- Experience with curriculum, assessment, and accommodation design.
- Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.
- Ability to use technology as an instructional tool.
