Menahga Public Schools is seeking a passionate, student-centered educator to join our secondary team as a full-time 7th and 8th Grade History and Geography Teacher
. We are looking for an individual who values relationships, creates engaging learning experiences, and helps students build strong critical thinking and citizenship skills.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment while helping middle school students explore history, geography, culture, and current events through meaningful and engaging instruction.

Position Responsibilities

Teach 7th and 8th grade History and Geography courses
Develop engaging lessons aligned to Minnesota state standards
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Collaborate with grade-level teams and secondary staff
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Incorporate critical thinking, discussion, writing, and inquiry-based learning opportunities into instruction
Utilize student data to support academic achievement and growth

Qualifications

Valid Minnesota teaching license in Social Studies or related field
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to connect with middle school students and support their academic and personal growth
Commitment to collaboration, flexibility, and relationship-building
