Position: Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher

Hours or FTE: 1.0 FTE

Starting Date: August 18, 2026

Stewartville public schools is seeking innovative and progressive applicants for a 1.0 position for a Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher.

Qualifications/Degree: Valid Minnesota teaching license for 5-8 Communication Arts/Literature. 5-12 Communication Arts/Literature preferred. Knowledge of Standards Based Grading is preferred.

• Responsible for the management of the instructional program and assigned students.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assisting in the same throughout the building.
• Responsible for the assessment of student progress.
• Responsible for ensuring the Minnesota State Standards are met.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement.

Beginning Salary Range:
As per the Stewartville United Educators' Master Agreement
