We are located between the cities of Kasson and Mantorville. Kasson is the home of a vibrant downtown district and Mantorville is known for its historic presence in SE Minnesota. The communities are fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester, home of the Mayo Clinic and IBM, and approximately one hour south of the Twin Cities.
Kasson-Mantorville is a school district of approx. 2,100 students, with numerous co-curricular and extracurricular programs and club opportunities.
Qualifications- Have 64 post secondary credits
- Have a passing score on the Para Pro assessment
- Have passing score of 332 on the Para Pathways assessment
- The Title 1 Paraprofessional will work with students referred for Title I services under supervision/direction of certified staff in implementing individual student learning plans
- Reinforces skills introduced by teachers using examples and manipulatives, visual, and auditory devices
- Working under the direction of the teacher, assist with implementation of individual student learning plans in areas of reading, writing, higher order think skills, and/or self-development
- Monitor student progress and confer with teachers to determine individual needs
- Serve as an in-class instruction support for Title 1 classes, including becoming familiar with content and requirements for the courses and assisting staff in planning
- Distribute, supervise and administer students in the completion of assignments, tests, quizzes, etc. provided by teachers and staff
- Proctor benchmark testing done three times a year, fall, winter and spring; attend required benchmark training sessions
- Schedule student service time
- Attend training and assistance meetings when necessary
- Provide confidential assistance to support the professionals in the building and need the various needs of students
- Supervise in the classroom, hallways, playground, lunch room and/or bus
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
