Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications required- Appropriate licensure for special education
- Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
- Preference for having knowledge and experience in working with children with IEPs.
- Plan and implement individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs
- Create a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
- Encourage student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate
- Conduct and carry out educational assessments
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures
Start Date: August 24th, 2026 (possibly start during new teacher week August 17th)
New Teacher Orientation: August 24‑27, 2026
Rate of Pay: Pay will be prorated based on the number of student contact days. The teacher contract salary range for the 2026‑2027 school year is $48,733 – $100,583 per year.
Benefit Eligibility: Determined according to calculated FTE per the teacher contract.
