Job Description
St. Michael‑Albertville School District (District‑Wide) – Albertville, Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Building‑Level Coordinator for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Position Overview & ResponsibilitiesCoordinates delivery of special education programming at the building level, supporting student transitions in and out of services. Advocates for students with special education needs. Key duties include implementing and coordinating special education programs in compliance with federal and state regulations, leading special education program and service coordination, and providing staff development support.
Start Date & FTEStart date:
August 24, 2026. Full‑time (1.0 FTE).
186 regular contract days plus 10 additive days (196 days annually). Includes 2–3 days of orientation as required.
Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in education and a Minnesota teaching certificate in Special Education are required. A Master’s degree or equivalent in special education is recommended. Leadership experience in special education is preferred. Dual licensure is preferred but not required.
AssignmentsPosition assigned to middle schools. Teachers may be moved between buildings/ programs based on student needs, licensure, and program location.
SalaryStarting salary range: $50,888 – $95,857 (includes additive days). Salary based on lane and step placement.
