STEAM Teaching Position
Kingsland Public Schools has a 1.0 FTE STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Teaching Position available for the school year. Candidates should hold or be eligible for a Minnesota teaching license in either Elementary Education or Art Education. Additional licensure areas are a positive. Successful candidate will provide STEAM instruction to students in grades K-6 using a locally created IDEA Lab curriculum, which engages elementary students in hands-on activities in innovation, design, engineering, and art to develop collaborative problem-solving and design skills.
Preferred candidate will possess:
- Experience with aligning curriculum and assessments to the state standards
- Skills in differentiating instruction and strong classroom management
- Cooperative professional approach to teaching and learning
- Willingness to work as part of a highly collaborative team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technology and organization skills
- Strong classroom and behavior management
- Multiple strategies used to ensure all learners achieve at the highest levels
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Belief that all students can achieve at high levels and meet high expectations
Salary Range: $46,466-$80,386, depending upon experience and education. (Based on Master Agreement)
