Educator For Young Children – Assistant Director

REDON Agglomération, comprising 31 communes with 68,000 inhabitants and 320 collaborators, is a dynamic and developing territory located 40 minutes from the ocean, at the crossroads of two regions (Brittany, Pays de la Loire) and three departments (Ille-et-Vilaine, Morbihan, Loire Atlantique). The educator for young children – assistant director performs their duties in collaboration with the director of the establishment (Multi-accueil d'Allaire). In the director's absence, they ensure the continuity of the director's role in accordance with the operating regulations.

• Continuity of direction in all aspects of the position, fostering trust, respect, support, and communication
• Participation in the development and implementation of the structure's pedagogical project
• Supervision of the team in the daily care of children and in welcoming families
• Coordination of the team and establishment of a dynamic in pedagogical and organizational projects. Being attentive and in dialogue with professionals regarding functioning, professional practices, and daily challenges
• Maintaining liaison between the team and the director
• Handling administrative, budgetary, and technical tasks in collaboration and relay with the director (accounting, team schedules, family registration appointments…)
• Being available and attentive to families and their specific needs
• Being able to observe to always respect each child's rhythm and needs

• Implementation of external projects/partnerships (media libraries, schools, RPE…)
• Supervision of trainees (schedules of reception, exchanges with training schools…)
• Participation in assistant meetings (of the 6 multi-accueils of REDON agglomération)

• Obligatory diploma of educator for young children
• Confirmed sensitivity to pedagogical issues, ability to implement educational orientations and report on them
• Respect for hygiene and safety rules in force
• Rigorousness, organization, and sense of priorities
• Decision-making capacity and sense of responsibility
• Basic IT and administrative skills

• Sense of public service
• Strongly sought professional experience in multi-accueil
• Assistant experience desired
• Relational skills in all situations: with parents, children, partners, colleagues
• Ability to integrate into a team and create a relationship of trust
• Diplomacy, rigor, neutrality, objectivity, discretion

• Full-time position 35 hours from Monday to Friday
