Robotics Coach/Advisor

Season Dates:
September 7, 2026 - June 15, 2027

Duties:
The Robotics Coach/Advisor will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to students participating in the Spring Lake Park High School Robotics program. This role supports students in developing technical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while fostering an environment that emphasizes creativity and innovation. Duties and

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for the team
  • Organize team meetings and events
  • Assign team roles in coordination with the adult team
  • Mentors
  • Delegate team tasks in coordination with the adult team
  • Mentors
  • Maintain records: student contact information, registration, funds, attendance, etc
  • Ensure team meets deadlines for events and award submissions
  • Works with the team to ensure safety according to the FIRST Safety Manual
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive team environment
  • Transport or set up transportation for students and equipment for events

Preferences: A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate OR equivalent and previous experience working with high school age students. Previous experience as an advisor.

Qualifications:

A strong background in Science or Computer (FCS). Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work with students, parents, staff, and community.

Stipend Detail: $2,500.00 stipend per schedule C of Athletics and Activities Handbook. Not benefits eligible position.
