DescriptionSaints Academy is a small Area Learning Center with only one teacher per content area. Class sizes are typically in the low to mid‑teens. The Academy is planning and implementing a new Middle School (grades 6‑8) ALC program at the St. Francis Learning Center. This position will involve summer planning meetings, homeroom teaching, and co‑teaching with content area teachers. Class size will be capped in the low teens.
This is one of very few 'true' pull‑out MS ALC programs in the state, offering an exciting opportunity to help develop the program from the ground floor.

Minnesota Department of Education license in Secondary Counseling
- Co‑teach with core content area teachers.
- Provide 'homeroom' instruction and support student needs/behaviors throughout the day.
- Assist in program development.
- Understand how to assist students with mental health.
- Counsel students in groups or individually.
- Commitment to the Saints Academy PLC process.
- Assist in scheduling and monitoring of student schedules, progress toward graduation, and other required documents for Area Learning Centers.
- Make connections with students and staff.
- Proven skill in forming, building, and maintaining positive relationships with students, families and staff.
