Job Summary
Elementary Special Education Teacher (K‑5) for the St. Francis Elementary School, anticipated start date August 31, 2026. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 7:50 am‑3:50 pm, with 186 contract days per year including professional development. The teacher will serve students with disabilities, develop and implement IEPs, provide consultation to classroom teachers, supervise educational assistants, and collaborate with families.
Qualifications- Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education (all special education license areas will be considered).
- Experience working with students in both mainstream classroom settings and small group instruction at the elementary level.
- Team‑oriented, comfortable collaborating with colleagues.
- Provide direct special education services for students who have disabilities.
- Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding students on IEPs.
- Provide work direction and support to the assigned Educational Assistants.
- Collaborate with families regarding students' educational programming and progress.
- Develop, write and implement IEPs for assigned caseload.
- Perform educational assessments of students as required.
- Ensure that due process requirements are being followed.

Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 7:50 am‑3:50 pm, 186 days per year, including professional development.
Salary: Based on the current Teacher Work Agreement; negotiated based on qualifications and years of experience.
