Paraeducator​/Teacher Assistant Elementary

Para educator Elementary Part-Time 184 Days/3 Hrs/Day

This position can be filled after a 5-day posting period. Part-time elementary para educators at highly qualified buildings may perform duties in the following areas: lunchroom supervision, playground supervision, and copy room, and does not include student instructional support.

Duties:

• Supervise areas where students gather such as hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, bus areas, and lunchroom.
• Support teachers/administration with copy room duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned (not including student instructional support).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be physically working in the building.
• Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability/desire to work with technology and computers.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
• Ability to supervise students.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of Pay: $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour DOQ with K-12 experience $21.15/hour to $24.15/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience.

8/31/26. Insurance benefits available for assigned positions of 6 hours or more per day.
