PEEK Instructor - Part-time
Dakota Meadows Middle School has a position available for a part-time (0.50 FTEs) PEEK Instructor beginning 8/31/2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and leading the school's PEEK (Promoting Experiences, Enhancing Knowledge) program. This role focuses on providing targeted support to small groups of students.
Summary of Duties:
- Support the development and implementation of a solid academic and SEL program.
- Provide Tier II and Tier III interventions for students who need more intensive levels of support for academics and SEL.
- Work in collaboration with students' home school staff and serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, coordinate unique academic learning experiences and support for students, through project based learning and experiential education.
- Under general supervision, coordinate social-emotional learning (SEL) support for students, as well as SEL professional development for staff working directly with students on your caseload.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff.
- Assist with the identification of students who need additional (intensive/Tier III) SEL support as it aligns to a student's IEP.
- Ability to provide Tier II and/or Tier III SEL interventions directly or through consultation to other educators and support staff.
- Consultation and collaboration with others is important in the development of SEL skills.
- Participate in collaborative planning and case management with community agencies that support students' abilities.
Required:
Valid MN teaching license.
Salary Range: $24,795 - $44,288 (based on the MTA salary schedule). Eligible Employee Benefits include:
