Location: Saint Francis

Multiple full-time opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers across the district, with positions supporting a wide range of student needs, including assessment, therapeutic (Setting III/IV), and center-based ASD programs.

Bring your passion and expertise to one of the following roles:

  • Special Education Assessment Teacher:
    Conduct evaluations, contribute to eligibility decisions, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and assist in developing compliant IEPs across district locations.
  • Special Education Teacher Setting III/IV (Restore Program):
    Guide high school students within a therapeutic environment, implement behavioral and academic supports, and collaborate closely with the program team.
  • ASD Center-Based Elementary Special Education Teacher:
    Work with elementary students with ASD, develop individualized programs and instruction, and support them in a structured, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student goals
  • Provide targeted, specially designed instruction
  • Maintain detailed progress monitoring and documentation
  • Collaborate with general education faculty, related service providers, administrators, and families
  • Implement effective classroom management and behavioral supports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team, evaluation, and IEP meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Minnesota and federal special education guidelines
  • Create inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility through reciprocity)
  • Demonstrated experience with IEP development and case management
  • Strong understanding of IDEA and state requirements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience:
  • Work with ASD, resource, self-contained, Setting III/IV, or assessment settings
  • Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, BIPs
  • Experience across elementary and/or secondary grade levels
  • Background in behavior management or crisis intervention
