Ag Education ON CAMPUS Short Term Teaching Position - UMC Ag/NatR Division
PositionThis is a short-term and/or temporary on-campus Agriculture Education and Communication teaching position for the University of Minnesota – Crookston Campus’s Agriculture & Natural Resources Department for the academic year.
ResponsibilitiesJob Code: 9754 (Teaching Specialist)
- Develop and teach courses in agriculture education and communication.
- Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate students.
- Advise students on academic concerns and support school‑related organizations.
- Participate in department decision‑making related to policies, courses, and programs.
- Provide service‑related teaching duties as needed.
- Maintain strong ties with scholars in the field and support student employment opportunities.
- Continuously advance professional knowledge and keep current with the field.
- Master’s Degree, preferably in the teaching discipline.
- Or, Master’s Degree in another field plus 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.
- A terminal degree in the discipline or related area is preferred.
- Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
- Candidates must demonstrate self‑awareness, cultural competencies, and achievement in working with diverse student populations.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Candidates must be eligible to work within the United States.
Pay Range: $1300-$1500 per credit based on experience, course, and enrollment.
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
