Special Education Teacher
Location: Cass Lake
We are seeking passionate educators in the following special education licensure areas:
- Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
- Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD)
- Specific Learning Disability (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Emotional & Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
Candidates with the appropriate Minnesota licensure - or those eligible to obtain a Tier 1 or Tier 2 license - are encouraged to apply.
A Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities to ensure access to the general education curriculum and promote academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth. The teacher develops, implements, and monitors Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while collaborating with staff, families, and community agencies to support student success.
Qualifications:- BA/BS Degree minimum in any field and appropriate licensure or willingness to obtain a Tier 1 or Tier 2 license.
- Computer and various software programs, TV/VCR, Smart Board, Telephone, Copy Machine and other equipment depending on area of certification.
- Ability to work effectively with students in a positive manner.
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Must complete the necessary application process and pass a criminal background check and drug screening test.
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and student progress.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Participate in evaluations, IEP meetings, and state and district testing, including implementing required accommodations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
$53,040+ (Depending on qualifications)
