Intermediate Elementary Classroom Teacher

Lester Prairie is a rural community located in eastern McLeod County on the edge of the western suburbs, 40 miles west of Minneapolis. We have an enrollment of approximately 400 preK-12 students.

This position is currently for a 5th grade classroom. Salary range: $44,582-$83,214. Benefits are according to the Teachers' Master Agreement. Extracurricular opportunities are available.

Qualifications:

• A valid Minnesota teaching license: K-6 Elementary Education
• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subject areas, adapting strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic abilities
• Have the ability to utilize both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student performance, leveraging data to drive targeted interventions and foster measurable learning outcomes
• Maintain strong, proactive communication with parents, staff, and community members to build a collaborative support network for student success
• Create and implement innovative learning opportunities and interactive projects to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and active student engagement
• Have excellent organizational skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
